The History of the Electoral College by retired Judge Robert (Bob) Boyd
Bob Boyd graduated from UC Berkeley and then served  three and one half years in the US Navy as an officer. He then attended Hastings Law College in San Francisco, graduating in 1971 where he was a member of the Hastings Law Journal. After five years of practice in San Francisco, he moved to Sebastopol in 1997  and started a law firm in Santa Rosa. He served two terms on the Sebastopol Planning Commission.  He was appointed to the Sonoma County Superior Court in 1998 where he served for twenty two years presiding over criminal, civil and family law courtrooms before retiring in June, 2019. He also was a professor at the Empire Law School in Santa Rosa for fourteen years teaching Contract law.

Since retiring, Bob has been filling in at the courthouse when full-time judges are not available as he waits for the  Covid-19 restrictions to drop so that more fishing trips can be planned.
